Hello All,

At this moment there is a large (20-30) flock of Cedar Waxwings visiting the backyards & green belt in behind the houses here on Glenwood Avenue. As well, earlier this morning, there was 1 lone Robin perched up in the tree next to the house.
Have resumed putting out my feeders (suet/Niger only). It was suggested I cease putting out the Black-oil sunflower seeds as that this was most likely what attracted the rats that were very numerous in our backyards this past late Fall.
Have the 'usual suspects' visiting: pigeons & starlings, ad naseum...ugh. Mind you, have lots of Hairy & Downey Woodpeckers and several White-breasted Nuthatches. BC Chickadees, Am. Goldfinches, Song Sparrows & House Sparrows.
And, either a Merlin or a Sharp-shinned Hawk has been patolling around every couple of days too. Has been pretty successful with it's hunting too.

Sincerely,

Gayle MacLean
Dartmouth
