Hi AllThis morning near my bird feeder was the imprint ofa bird in the snow The wing print was about 50 cms wide andthe body about 20 cms wide. perhaps 10 cms into the soft snow.A few drops of blood in the cavity - the front end where the birds headwould be. No feathers around and mice tracks leading up to the spot.My guess would be a Sawwhet Owl but no proof.Looking farther I found 2 other similar spots. A well fed owl this morning.Enjoy the winterPaul
