The first two have been reported before. The long-staying Carolina along Kissing Bridge
Road near Lunenburg was very vocal but skulky. Patience is required. The male Barrow's
Goldeneye (not a hybrid, at least phenotypically) was with Commons in open water along
the First Peninsula Road. Two drake Gadwalls in Lunenburg harbour along the SE edge of
the ABCO property were a surprise.

The biggest change around here recently is the influx of Iceland Gulls since our mid-week
southerly gale. I saw at least 70 at Kingsburg Beach on Friday, and watched as unknown
numbers more flew off the sea into King's Bay.
