This afternoon Peter as I was putting out some seed forthe birds a Chickadee came and sat on a branch near me andstarted to call. Glad for the food I guess. In the ground below the feed another Owl and Mouse story. The owl wing beats were in the soft snow for a couple of meters andthen a hole in the snow and some blood. The owl was having some sunflower seed to but it had passedthrough the mouse first.Enjoy the storm - brings back many memories!Paul

Hi, all-

This morning I heard a couple of chickadees uttering their territorial "fee-bee" call, in Halifax's south end. I understand that it is just the males that do this. Anyway, a very cheerful sound to offset the very low temperatures and miserable forecast for tomorrow.
