As of late yesterday afternoon (dusk), the Barred Owl that has been seen in Dartmouth is still present. Generally it has been seen on James St. but also on Johnson's Avenue and last evening, was reported seen at the top of my street, Glenwood Ave. It has only been seen in late afternoon, that I am aware of anyway.
My husband & I took a trip down to Bridgetown (Granville Ferry) yesterday. Great day for a drive and a beautiful day.
We saw numerous Red-tailed Hawks, fewer Bald Eagles, both Mature and immature and saw some kind of a hawk that didn't look like a Red-tailed, soaring above. Unfortunately we also saw a Red-tailed Hawk that was dead on the highway, obviously hit by a car.
And also while visiting in Granville Ferry we saw a male Pileated Woodpecker in a big oak tree by their house.

Cheers to all!!
