This is a nice app, I have been using birdlog for all of my eBird =
submissions for about a month now.=20

I create off line checklists and upload them to eBird via Wi-Fi when I =
get home or at the next Tim's stop.

One thing that I have noticed makes me wonder if there may be a way to =
unintentionally incur data charges. I have a data block on my phone and =
therefore can't be sure.

When you click "create offline checklist" the internal GPS comes on and =
the app displays your approximate Lat/Lon. However if I do this while =
the Wi-Fi is connected the app accesses google earth to refine the =
location and bring up a civic address. Does this mean it will do the =
same if there is a data connection?

If this does create a problem then choosing from the recent locations =
would get around it. You could also start the list beforehand however =
after uploading you may have to open the checklist in eBird and correct =
the time as it seams to revert back to the time that was set when the =
checklist was created. A better solution is to use the previously =
created list to generate a record in the recent locations and start a =
new list when you get to your destination. The first list can then be =
deleted if you so wish.=20
