Bernard Forsythe & I were out owling tonight, Feb. 23rd, primarily for this species. Bernard was "tooting" and I also used recorded calls. The one bird we got, at Greenfield, Kings Co., was not tooting but it came in & gave a single call that we both heard. I found it with my head lamp. We then saw it fly three times before we left. Elsewhere, we heard or saw 3 Barred Owls. Richard Stern's GHOW also needs to be added to the DOWList. Rick Whitman
