They were walking =20 their dogs and, as they know I'm interested in birds, thought I would =20= like to know there was a big owl sitting on the power lines right next =20= to my house. A small flashlight showed it was a barred owl. All I was =20= able to do, without a tripod was to take a 2-second hand-held image, =20= with it silhouetted against the moon. Not the best picture but it was =20= better than black! http://myweb.dal.ca/pmkelly/Barred.JPG I went back it for a tripod and got back just in time to see it fly =20 off towards the woods at the back of the cemetery. I suspect it was =20 checking out my ground feeder as well as that of the house on the =20 other side of the cemetery driveway. I'll have to see if it comes back.
