    <p class=3D"MsoNormal">Hi Folks. The long-awaited second phase of publi=
c consultation for the =E2=80=9C12% by 2015=E2=80=9D protected areas proces=
s is about to begin (see <a href=3D"http://gov.ns.ca/nse/12percent/">http:/=
/gov.ns.ca/nse/12percent/</a>). A big kick-off event is planned for THIS TH=
URSDAY at 1PM at the Fairbanks Centre in Shubie Park, Dartmouth. Although t=
he amount of notice is terribly short (typical government planning I=E2=80=
=99m afraid) it is still <span style=3D"text-decoration: underline;">really=
 important</span> to have a strong citizen turn-out to show support for thi=
s process. Please try and make it and bring some friends with you if you ar=
e in/near the area and can make it. An official invite should be coming fro=
m government shortly. Regardless of whether you can attend this event or no=
t, ALL GROUPS AND INDIVIDUALS should get ready to participate in this impor=
tant consultation process so please watch the website for details on how to=
 do that and please spread the word.</p>=20
