I was just emailing with a friend in New Jersey about our caracara. He
remarked that they have had one very mobile...or several Crested
Caracara there this winter. See

The bird which appeared here over the week-end could be the same bird as
was in NJ or it could be part of a larger caracara dispersal...or it may
not be related to the NJ events at all...but it is food for thought.
