Hi all
I also had a phone call from someone in Pictou who saw a hawk-like bird =
in yard I think on past Friday white breast then dark, hassled by crows =
and made a noise that when checked with a recording sounded like a =
Caracara.=20

Subject: [NatureNS] Crested Caracara
Hi all:
=20
I've gotten a report which could have been of the Caracara prior to =
it's showing up at Lawrencetown. A bird described in flight over Starrs =
Street in Lunenburg certainly sounds like the bird about the day before =
it was found at Lawrencetown. I can't prove anything though and the =
power of suggestion with recent publicity on the bird could also have =
played in this.
