Thank you all who provided me with some helpful location tips on where to start
my search for the bird yesterday. Unfortunately, I was unable to locate the
bird last evening between 545-645. I walked the short trail that disects the
lagoon side opposite the beach, but to no avail.

I returned this morning arriving at 630am, just before the sun came up fully,
and once again walked the trail the disects the lagoon side. No Luck. I
regrouped and scanned the entire lagoon from the tea room hill, and much of the
remaining area I could see from that vantage. Still no luck. I left at 730am,
empty-handed or empty-eyed, or whatever, and made my way into the city for my
work day.

If the bird is again spotted today I'd love to know about it as I'm desperate to
spot this rare southern vistor.

cheers,
Chris Kennedy
