Hi All;

I led a Photo Hike last Saturday (6 April) to Martinique Beach for the
Halifax Outdoor Adventurers.  It was a wild day of weather, with great wave
action.  I have posted two short videos on YouTube to give the flavour of
the day.

We were not in the dunes on Martinique, and so did not encounter any
Ipswich Sparrows, but there was one later that afternoon along the rocky
shore of Fisherman's Preserve in Three Fathom Harbour.

The only birds of note on Martinique Beach were in the raging surf off Flying
Point -- all three Scoter species, and a lone (and late) Thick-billed Murre.
