Saw my first Osprey of the season hovering over the waters at Silver Sands =
in Cow Bay today=2C got a distant photo here: http://www.wildlifesightings.=
net/temp/OspreyBird.htmlWas hoping to see the crested caracara reported a f=
ew weeks ago in Lawrencetown but no luck. Woodfrogs mating calls were very =
loud yesterday in Waverly and I even photographed a number of large egg sac=
s. Wood frogs are among the first frogs to emerge in the spring. Here's a d=
ecent picture of the eggs sacs and a blurry pic of a wood frog: http://www.=
wildlifesightings.net/temp/WoodFrogAmphibian.htmlAlso recorded a sample of =
their unique mating call here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3DUhzzRFkQLuA
