As I haven't been to the marsh since the atlas wrapped up I decided to go there as well, but from 5-6 PM. There were very few birds, but I did see about six male mallards as well as a pair of ring-necked ducks out on the water. There "long" loop takes you back towards the water and to a nice spot overlooking the main section of the marsh and the peepers were incredibly loud. It was nice to just sit on the bench enjoy the view and know that when the odd car went by on the Bog Road you couldn't hear it for the peepers!
