Saw our first RT Hummer of the spring on May 11/13. It was a female,
and she has been seen a few times since then. In previous years the
male always arrived first, then a week or two later the female came.
Perhaps we just haven't happened to see the male yet, but we are
wondering what is happening. Has anyone ever seen Hummers at tree
flowers, eg. Maples? I have a theory that that is what they primarily
feed on when they first arrive, but I've never actually seen it happen.
