All,

Today I had my field school students out on the Fairmont Ridge Hiking
Trail, just out side of Antigonish, NS. I pointed out a bat to them and one
student asked if that was normal and another quickly responded "Is it
white-nose syndrome?" Likely? Are there other reasons for bats to fly
during the day? Lots of bad-weather nights in a row, for example? That
didn't happen in this case though.
