On May 18=2C I saw mallard ducklings on a pond at Dublin Shore. On May 19=
=2C David Walmark and I watched a pair of northern flickers copulate along =
the Back Harbour Trail in Lunenburg. We also were able to see seven gray c=
atbirds=2C five male northern cardinals=2C 10 American redstarts=2C seven y=
ellow warblers=2C and four common yellowthroats=2C as well as numbers of ot=
her species. There were eleven great blue herons at Back Harbour. Common =
yellowthroats and yellow warblers also seem to have arrived in good numbers=
 elsewhere in this area also. =20
