Bernard Forsythe has passed along info for those interested in his banding
of Barred Owls.

Global TV arrived today to film him banding two baby Barred Owls on the
White Rock river walking trail, near Wolfville. The cameraman was very
impressed.

It will be shown at 6:00 pm and 11:00 pm Fri evening (May 3)1 on the Global
TV network. Bernard will be seen climbing the tree, removing the
youngsters to band them and having the female hit him in her effort to let
him know she did not approve of his mission! He added there was an extra
possibility this might be re-shown early Monday morning as well.

He has been busy banding more owls in the Kingston area (12 owlets in 5 nest
boxes), still has another 6 nest boxes to attend before he leaves for
Victoria!

Cheers,

Judy Tufts
