It was a coolish (12C), dark evening so = I went a little early arriving at 841. To my alarm, a few birds entered = a minute or 2 later so I wondered if I missed some of the birds. There = were not many in the air, but after 10 min. the numbers started to build = and the air was full of twittering. I could tell there was going to be = larger numbers than the last time I was out - a little over 100 then. As = the first big group started to enter at 9:08, a car pulled up behind me = and the glare of the headlights glanced off my side mirror temporarily = blinding me just as a group started to go down. Two good groups went = down, one of 250 and the last of 360. Last bird entered at 9:13 and I = left at 9:17.=20 My total for the night was my largest yet for the year at 630! I suspect = this was a conservative estimate.=20 No guarantee it will stay up like that for a few more nights, but might = be worth a drive out if you want to take a chance. Well worth the show. = Other than the person in the car behind me, no one else was on hand = tonight.
