I attended the Kentville Field Trip on June 9 and I would like to thank =
Richard Stern, George Forsyth, Jim Wolford and the others in attendance =
for the warm welcome.  I really enjoyed the walk around the marsh and I =
learned a lot.  Now I know what a Hawthorn bush looks like, how to =
identify the various maple trees as well as the differences in the three =
cherry trees.  It was a very informative trip for me and I will have to =
make a special effort to come back to Miners Marsh in the fall when the =
leaves turn and the ducks arrive.  Thanks also to Richard for taking me =
over to see the bald eagle nest in New Minas =E2=80=93 that was a real =
treat!  I did not have such good views of eagles in Alaska when I was =
there a couple of years ago.

Other than the eagle nest, the photo opportunities for birds at the =
marsh were limited.  In any event, I did get a few which I posted to my =
