Last year apparently long-finned squids were abundant along many N.S.
coasts, and I for one would like to know what kind yours are -- do
you know? or can you find out? ask fishermen? To distinguish long-
finned vs. short-finned, Google them and look at photos -- length of
fin to length of mantle (body tube) is what matters most. Last year
we at Grand Pre, Delhaven, and Scots' Bay had "sea mops" of egg-
fingers (cases of eggs) on our intertidal flats. Cheers from Jim in
Wolfville.
