Dear All,                         Aug 4, 2013
    Yesterday, while on a short walk south of the closed Kentville =
landfill gate, I noticed a patch of unusual (to me) Epigaea repens. The =
leaves are glossy and entirely glabrous (perhaps pubescent earlier). =
This was at an old home site, obvious 40 years ago and now becoming less =
so.=20
 =20
     I am wondering if this could be an ornamental strain selected for =
the glossy leaves.
   =20
    The venation of such leaves is an impressive example of good design =
and, having an instant pencil at hand, I took a shot this morning.
