Hi James

It sounds like you already tried but did you check the two call on
this page for the Eastern Wood Pewee:
http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/eastern_wood-pewee/sounds

They sound a lot like "fwee" to me as did the ones on my iBird Pro app.
