AUG. 20=2C 2013 - At about 1.5 hours after high tide=2C along the railroad =
tracks of Wolfville Harbour I saw 9 greater yellowlegs=2C 2 lesser yellowle=
gs=2C and 2 dowitchers (undoubtedly short-billed).

Also along the RR tracks I found a smallish black-brown-black woolly bear c=
aterpillar of an isabella moth?

AUG. 21=2C 2013 - This afternoon on our back deck we found an adult western=
 conifer seed bug (Leptoglossus occidentalis=2C in family Coreidae=2C leaf-=
footed bugs). (A large bug with conspicuous diamond-shaped "leaf" on each =
hind leg.)

AUG. 26=2C 2013 - At late afternoon high tide=2C Wolfville Harbour=2C there=
 were 6 dowitchers and about 12 yellowlegs (mostly or all greaters) roostin=
g along the railroad tracks.

AUG. 27=2C 2013 - The "test" of sorts for honey bees and other insects has =
started in Wolfville=2C i.e.=2C Japanese knotweed is now in bloom along the=
 Rail Trail in town. Today the oodles of small white flowers were attracti=
ng good numbers of honey bees and a diversity of other hymenopterans and di=
pterans (wasps and flies).

Cheers from Jim in Wolfville.
