In answer to Richard's question, Zinck (1998) says that wild cucumber
is "probably not native", is often cultivated to cover fences and
walls, grows luxuriantly in dumps, and may become a troublesome
weed. Its range is across southern Canada and south to Florida and
Texas. Cheers from Jim in Wolfville.
