We here in eastern King's County are used to seeing quite large=20=20
numbers of ravens together, in both the Grand Pre dykelands and areas=20=20
around Canning to Sheffield Mills. Back during the nesting season=20=20
these large flocks would be yearlings and non-breeders. Dave's flock=20=20
of 57 might have been a group that had roosted together and then were=20=20
foraging together too. Like crows, ravens are communal roosters and=20=20
very social, except in late winter and early spring through May.=20=20=20
