We do have lamprey eel runs in the Musquodoboit River. When young  
(60ties) we never had them but in the 70ties they started and continue 
to this day I believe. they seem to die off after a lightening storm 
but could be timing with spawning. They seem to have migrated into our 
river. 
   
  I don't think the green eels run but more local populations in our 
lakes and rivers.
