The lichen is Lobaria pulmonaria, or lung lichen.

Identifications?<br>
1.The lichen to the right is one that grows on maples. It does not usually =
look this perky. My Aunt on Vancouver Island uses a similar one to dye wool=
 for weaving that grows on Norway Maples there.<br>

2. I am guessing the furry cushion on the rock is a Broom Moss (Dicranum). =

I am mainly basing this on the fact you can brush it to the side with your =
