Years ago I saw a neat birdfeeder that had some sort of wind vane =
attached to it so that the area the birds landed to feed was always in =
the lee. The feeder was mounted on a pole and could swing freely in the =
wind. I believe it was a home-made design. I'd like to build =
something for our high-wind area here in Freeport. I could putter =
around trying to design something that has the right configuration...but =
the birds could well starve to death before I get it right. I'm =
wondering if anyone out there has one, or knows of someone who has =
something similar that I could copy...
Any thoughts from people with an engineering bent would be greatly =
appreciated.
(I have searched the web, and haven't come up with anything)
Thanks,
Andy
