I found two Snowy Owls on the Avonport dyke this morning about a mile east
of the two reported by Rick Whitman in north Grand Pre yesterday - the
other side of the Gaspereaux River estuary (aka 'the Guzzle').

Also had a nice pair of Common Mergansers and several Red Throated Loons
further out.

On a sombre note Mr Burns, my Golden Retriever, flushed a male Black Duck
in the salt marsh grass. The bird managed to evade Mr Burns - no big
surprise - but could not fly. It's left wing was obviously broken, likely
by someone's #2 load :-(

Other than that a good day. Sorry for the poor quality photo.
