There is a Evening grosbeak at my folks feeder in downtown Elderbank.

Some of you will know that Ron Pittaway predicted virtually no
need for northern finches to head south and east this winter.

So here we are with Blake's NS Winter List updated thru Dec 6 and NO
reports of Evening Grosbeak, both Crossbills, Pine Sisken, both
Redpolls, Pine Grosbeak plus Bohemian Waxwing (not a finch).

I don't know about you, but I consider this to be fascinating, as
well as "data". No doubt we'll see a few of most or all of these, but
the early pattern is impressive.
