I've just scoped George's Island from my side of the harbour (Dartmouth)
and as of 1:30pm there are two raptors hovering and circling about the
island. It's too far away to be certain as to ID even with a scope (at
least for me), but they could very well be Rough-legged Hawks.
Like Andy, I can't see any sign of the Snowy Owl, but he could well still
be present. It is harder to see now that there is some snow on the ground -
there was none when it first appeared.
