Ann Doull reported that her male red bellied woodpecker surfaced at her
feeders in south end Halifax after a ten-day absence. This morning the
woodpecker was here for over an hour and a half. He came down every so often
to have a snack of seed and then went back up the tree to the sheltered side
and just stayed there all puffed up. Is puffing up a concern??

Cheers
Liz
