Hi,

That would be an amazing and great sighting of a superb bird with just 1
well-documented previous sighting and 2 specimens in NS, from many years
ago but there was one that spent a few days in the area of Alma, NB a few
years ago.. However, please don't take offense, but .... people often
report Great Grey, which turn out to be owls that are great (in size) and
gray (in color), but are actually Barred, or occasionally Gt.Horned with
the tufts flattened down. Did you take note of the eye color? Do you have
any more details? If you really feel it was a Gt.Grey, we'll all be out
there looking!

Thanks,

Richard
