On the trail between Crystal Crescent Beach and
Pennant Point, we came across two (fairly small)
porcupines, browsing last years' grasses, without
being bothered by our presence (we did not approach
after spotting them). Were these likely one year olds?

The surf was strong, thus most ducks etc. kept their
distance from the shore. We identified a small numbers
of Common Eider.

In Island Rock Cove, which is approx. half way from
Crystal Crescent Beach to Pennant Point, we saw
a pair of Harlequin Ducks, both on the way out and
on the way back. They kept close to each other,
the male diving once during the 2-3 minutes we were
watching them.
