Subject: Collation of Nova Scotia Birding Records

Not only are NS-RBA, NatureNS, eBird and the NSBS facebook page running =
observations which are not collated in one place but the sightings and =
hearings of some of our best birders are also not included such as Allan =
and Kathy Murrant from Cape Breton Island, Clarence Stevens(Sr. and =
Jr.), Murray Newell from CSI, and Fulton Lavender of Spryfield. In my =
opinion Fulton is the best field birder we have, especially with pelagic =
birds, yet almost nothing is reported from him. I run into Fulton from =
time to time and my jaw drops when he reports what he's encountered. =
There is history here of course that is best forgotten but the job =
RIchard Stern proposes of pulling all this stuff together is indeed an =
important and challenging one.

Hans
