Wearing permethrin treated clothing reduces tick bites and chances of conta=
cting Lyme disease 93-100% but we do not have access to this preventative m=
easure in Canada.Permethrin is very safe used this way (bound to textile), =
especially for children. (DEET is not!)

Please sign on to the petition to pressure government to give Canadians acc=
ess to permethrin-treated clothing for repelling ticks/Lyme disease, especi=
ally to protect children.

Go to www.noticks.ca<http://www.noticks.ca>

-----This effort, just getting off the ground, followed from some discussio=
n last year on NatureNS about preventing tick bites and my frustration in t=
rying to get some answers from the PMRA. Support via the petition is much =
appreciated, also any inside info on why the "Permethrin Option" is pretty =
well absent from public discourse about BLT/Lyme in Canada.
