Today, I enjoyed a quiet 14km Trike ride on the backroads of the North Mountian north of Waterville. It was a beautiful day, with fantastic Cumulus Clouds over the Southern Uplands. Great conditions for soaring and there was a Bald Eagle at 2000 ft enjoying the thermals. I encountered four Turkey Vultures in a group, lower but still soaring.

The aviation weather said the CU's were 8000 ft at the base. I am an old soaring pilot and that kind of situation makes we want to be up there circling in those thermals.
