Perhaps this is becoming less noteworthy in south end Halifax, but I've
heard Cardinals singing throughout the spring around Conrose Park (
http://goo.gl/maps/cdW9J). I haven't walked through the park in a while, so
I don't know how long there have been multiple birds singing, but this
morning there were two birds "countersinging" from either end of the park.

I have a recording of one from April 22nd at at the coburg rd end of the
park. There was a Cardinal in a similar spot this morning, so it may be
that this is a male who has been on this territory for a month now.
