This morning along the Palmeter Woods (W. Kentville) longer loop=2C there =
was still little evidence of birds returning. The exception was Ovenbird=2C=

=2C 1-2 B/H Vireos=2C 2 L. Flycatchers=2C 3 Yellow Warblers ( before the st=
art of the trail)=2C 1 Y/R Warbler (should be numerous here by this time)=
=2C 1 Magnolia Warbler=2C a P/B Grebe calling from the Cornwallis R. area=
=2C a Ruffed Grouse drumming. A list of expected birds not seen or heard wo=
uld be lengthy!
=20
No butterflies & indeed no flying insects.
=20
I have not been keeping track of the breeding Canada Geese at Seven Bridges=
but I was surprised to see 6 full-grown young along with the adult pair. L=
ots of food there apparently.
