Hi everyone,

The annual NSBS "out-of-town" meeting is coming up this weekend! Here is a
link to the itinerary for the weekend:

This year we have chosen Amherst as the venue with it's incredible
marshlands to explore. We have set aside several rooms at the Wandlyn Inn
for those who may want to book accommodations for one or more nights. The
motel has given us a rate of 85.00 per night including breakfast and is
located overlooking the Tantramar Marsh and very close to The Amherst Point
Bird Sanctuary and 15 minutes to the Sackville NB Waterfowl Park. Contact

at 7:30pm, Dr. Phil Taylor will present his work on using satellite
tracking to better understand the movements of small neo-tropical songbirds
which summer in Nova Scotia and has some very interesting results to share.
As always, there will be refreshments following the meeting.

The area's bird specialties include Black Tern, Virginia Rail, American
Bittern, Pied-billed Grebe many waterfowl species and possible Purple
Martin in the Sackville, NB area.
