Suspicions about possible nesting on Brier Island go way back to =20
Wickerson Lent, who was a lightkeeper on Brier Island back in the =20
1960s & 70s and maybe earlier? But no evidence has been found, nor =20
for the Bridgetown area of the North Mountain and surrounding area =20
(yet) -- and 'no evidence' includes the absence of sightings of =20
turkey vultures with black heads (juveniles).

Decades ago I recall reading (the wonderful old Globe & Mail column =20
by ??( that someone in the Montreal area had figured out how to =20
detect nesting behaviour and then find the nest sites, which is quite =20=

difficult for turkey vulures.

Cheers from Jim in Wolfville.
