Didn't realize that catbirds could be at risk. At least one is singing away
behind the house on the Wyman Road, and that has been a common occurrence
for years!

I have never had a chance to be quantitative, but tree swallows down south
of Yarmouth are getting to the point of being only modestly noteworthy.

complacent):

2 Barn Swallows (Endangered; COSEWIC 'Threatened')

1 Eastern Wood Pewee (Vulnerable; COSEWIC 'Special Concern')

Species of concern under General Status Ranks in NS:

1 Gray Catbird (May Be At Risk)

1 Eastern Kingbird (Sensitive)

2 Pied-billed Grebe (Sensitive)

1 Tree Swallow (Sensitive)

1 Rose-breasted Grosbeak (Sensitive)

cheers,
