--047d7beb9824c88cc904fbcc66f0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 While on a group hike yesterday (June 12) in the Polly's Cove area (just east of Peggy's Cove) I found a freshly dead Snowy Owl. The corpse was in fine condition, and is now in my freezer. It seemed emaciated, and so perhaps died of starvation. There was no sign of any predation. I sent a message to Andrew Hebda of the NS Museum to ascertain if he wishes the specimen for the collection, but there has not yet been a response. If he cannot use it (or does not respond) then where else can this specimen go? I recall Randy Lauff looking for birds for the St. FX collection. Any thoughts?
