hi folks,

A number of recent sightings of note:

Miner's Marsh:
69 *Mallards*
eBird: http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S18824236

Cornwallis Inn (this morning, 7:45 am):
1 *Chimney Swift* flying
eBird: http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S18824237

Nowlan Mountain Road (White Rock area; 17 June, 9:15 pm):
1 *Common Nighthawk*
eBird: http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S18821969

Brooklyn Street, Kentville (17 June, 2 pm):
1* Baltimore Oriole* (male)
eBird: http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S18821969
- first observed here by Dan Bishop who mentioned he thinks there is a nest
around here

Miner's Marsh this week:
- Nancy Nickerson reported seeing the *Pied-billed Grebes with 6 young*,
adults feeding them fish...and that one of the adults was observed downing
a fish about 6-8 inches long (what would this be?)
- Nancy also found a female *Wood Duck with young*.

cheers,
James.
