I'm not sure there are any good answers for anyone but the most laid-back,
non-commercial farmer. The first Maritimes Breeding Bird Atlas shows
egg-laying from very late May to mid-July, young from mid-June to the end
of July. Last year on August 5 at Belleisle Marsh I had two females
"carrying food".

On the Grand Pre dykelands it appears to me that Bobolink nesting is
occurring in pastures, margins, very small unmanaged corners and ......
spring wheat (!). Yes, spring wheat is harvested well after they have gone.
Every hay / silage field has already had its first cut and there is zero
potential for Bobolink nesting. We may as well be honest about it.
