This evening I heard an unknown call from a tree close to my deck while I
was BBQing supper, and on investigation it was an obviously newly fledged
Baltimore oriole giving loud begging calls. It was a good 30m. from where
the adults have been hanging out, and where we believe the nest is, so it
must have flown or tree-hopped. I didn't see the parents, but I left it
alone and it eventually stopped or disappeared.
