Hi All=2C
=20
Today Monday July 7 my wife Antoinette and I visited a few spots in SW NS.
=20
At Mavillette Beach we found 6 Black Skimmers=2C 3 Gull-billed Terns and a =
Laughing Gull.
=20
At Overton there were 3 Black Skimmers.
=20
At the Starrs Road Irving in Yarmouth there were 22 Laughing Gulls. Another=
4 on lawns in Lower West Pubnico. Another 4 in a pond at km 55 of Highway =
103 (near exit 30). Another baker's dozen at the grocery store in Barringto=
n Passage at the corner to Cape Sable Island (CSI). And at least another 15=
on CSI. And no doubt many many more.
=20
At the Guzzle on CSI we had another Black Skimmer=2C a Purple Martin (male)=
=2C 50 Sh.-bil. Dowitchers=2C 5 Greater Yellowlegs and 7 Whimbrel.
=20
On the beach east of the causeway we had a Royal Tern.
=20
And on the way home=2C after dark=2C we hit an area along the road (km 131=
=2C Highway 101 - about 4 km east of the Annapolis Royal Highway 8 exit) th=
at saw the car bombarded with insects. In the midst of this=2C a Common Nig=
hthawk dove down to road level into our headlights=2C but fortunately veere=
d off at the last moment.
=20
Cheers=2C Larry
