The talk was followed by a visit to the = Temperance St. school where we were joined by quite a few others, maybe = 80-100 in total, to view an impressive flock of about 300 swifts fly = into the school chimney between 8:46-8:54. The talk and visit to the = chimney and the publicity generated gave a great boost to awareness of = this threatened species to many who were not aware of the birds in the = community and the importance of the school chimney to these birds.
